Morningside Capital’s principals have a collective 50+ years and $3 billion+ of real estate investment experience across a broad range of investment strategies.

Chris has 20+ years of real estate and finance experience. His experience includes acquisitions, development, investment banking and investment management; with acquisition officer responsibility for approximately $600 million in investment across asset classes and in multiple U.S. markets. Before Morningside, Chris was an Associate at The Lionstone Group, a Houston based private equity firm that focuses on urban real estate investments. While at Lionstone, Chris sourced and had direct responsibility for over $350 million in acquisitions and development in Houston and Dallas. Prior to Lionstone, Chris worked as an Associate at Metro National, a privately owned Houston based developer, where his responsibilities included analyzing various acquisitions and new developments. From 2001-2003 Chris worked as an Analyst at Jefferies & Company in its Energy Investment Banking Group.

Mike has 20+ years of real estate and finance experience. His experience includes structuring joint ventures, acquisitions, development, accounting, and investment management, with acquisition officer responsibility for approximately $1 billion in investment across asset classes and in multiple U.S. markets. Before Morningside, Mike was an investment professional at Cathexis and Lionstone Investments, where he sourced, structured, and managed multiple real estate asset types in numerous markets. Prior to Lionstone and Cathexis, Mike served as the International Controller at Hines. Mike received a degree in Managerial Studies from Rice University and a Master's degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Texas at Austin. Mike currently sits on the Board of the Leonard Wood Center for Real Estate Studies at the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School.
Amy is based in Houston, Texas and joined Morningside Capital in 2021. She has more than 20 years of accounting experience, in industry and public accounting. Prior to joining Morningside Capital, Amy served as the Vice President of Finance for PetWell Partners, LLC. At PetWell, Amy directed and managed all aspects of accounting and human resource operations. Prior to her experience with PetWell, Amy spent 16 years with Deloitte in various areas of specialization including auditing, mergers and acquisitions, and environmental audit support. She led engagements focused on reporting for environmental matters, regulatory compliance, risk management, effectiveness of internal controls, and best practices. She also has participated in or led due diligence work in over 50 proposed or completed transactions, for private equity and strategic buyers. Amy holds a BBA in Accounting and a MS in Accounting from Texas A&M University. She is a licensed CPA in the State of Texas.

Neva is based in Houston, Texas. Her experience includes development and asset management, as well as negotiating new investments, acquisitions, and investor relations. Prior to joining Morningside Capital, Neva worked as an associate for Wood Partners where she supported the development team on multifamily projects in Phoenix and Las Vegas. Prior to business school, Neva worked as an associate for an energy consulting firm in Houston where she managed assets on behalf of a $16.5 billion private equity firm. Neva received a BA from Colorado College and a MBA from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School.

Schuyler is based in Denver, Colorado. Her experience includes underwriting and due diligence, acquisitions, asset management, and dispositions for the firm’s real estate investments. Prior to joining Morningside Capital in 2020, Schuyler worked as an associate for EverWest Real Estate Investors in Denver where she supported the acquisitions deal team on industrial transactions in top commercial real estate markets nationally. Schuyler received a BA from the University of Virginia and a MBA from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School.
Debbie is based in Houston, Texas and has been with Morningside Capital since 2022. She has 20+ years of experience in Accounting and Finance. Prior to joining Morningside Capital, Debbie served as Manager of Capital Planning in the International division at Continental Airlines Inc. She served multiple roles within Continental, working within the Treasury and Corporate Finance divisions. She provides financial strategies and participates in planning, investment, budget, and tax reporting activities. Debbie holds a BBA in Accounting from Texas A&M University and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas.
Gaby is based in Houston, Texas. She has 8+ years of experience in accounts payable and office management. Prior to joining Morningside Capital in 2021, Gaby worked in accounts payable at PetWell. Gaby has extensive experience handling a wide range of administrative duties and executive support-related tasks, including contract and price negotiations with office vendors and service providers, and the development and implementation of office policies. Gaby holds a degree in Business Administration from University of Houston-Downtown.
